Leading lights of Australia’s film and TV industry from in front of and behind the camera will today urge federal politicians from all parties to act to ensure Australian stories continue to be told on Australian screens.
More than 215 prominent actors, directors, producers, screenwriters, cinematographers, editors and others working in the screen industry have put their names to an open letter to the nation's parliamentarians.
Dozens of Australia’s best-known and most successful actors, directors, screenwriters, producers and production crew – including 15 Oscar winners – have penned an open letter calling on the nation’s parliamentarians to protect the local screen industry and to act now to ensure it thrives into the future.
Yesterday, around the country, Australia’s screen industry united to launch the Make it Australian campaign.
